Ken Shamrock returns to Las Vegas for Tuff-N-Uff’s “FESTIBRAWL”

On Friday, May 25, the legendary Shamrock family returns to Sin City.

“Tuff-N-Uff: The Future Stars of MMA” is proud to announce that UFC Hall of Famer and “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock will be the featured guest signing autographs at this month’s spectacular “FESTIBRAWL” event.

“We were already excited for what’s going to be an incredible event on May 25, but to know that an MMA legend like Ken Shamrock will be in the building to celebrate with our fans makes the night even more special,” Tuff-N-Uff president Barry Meyer said.

Tuff’N-Uff’s “FESTIBRAWL” sees the promotion return to Las Vegas’ South Point Arena for a night of high-level MMA contests in addition to live music, free beer sampling, bikini bull riding and gourmet food trucks. “FESTIBRAWL” continues Tuff-N-Uff’s tradition of bringing you food, fun and furious action as the nation’s best amateur fighters meet in the cage.

Shamrock was originally planning to watch his son, Jeff Shamrock, return to action following a three-year layoff from the sport. Unfortunately, a training injury forced the younger Shamrock to withdraw from the event. However, his father elected to keep his commitment to the Tuff-N-Uff fans and spend the evening’s watching the future stars of mixed martial arts.

Despite Shamrock’s withdrawal, Tuff-N-Uff officials will still field a full card loaded with potential barnburners.

In an intriguing matchup of debutants, 18-year-old Montel Williams Jr. (0-0), an Xtreme Couture product and the son of famed talk-show host Montel Williams, enters the cage against fellow newcomer Charles Weist (0-0).

And in one of the night’s featured fights, females take the cage as Jillian Lybarger (4-4) defends her Tuff-N-Uff 115-pound title against undefeated challenger Stephanie Gonzalez (5-0).

After opening her career at just 1-3, Lybarger has settled into her natural weightclass at 115 pounds and has rattled off three-straight wins. She now faces the undefeated Gonzalez, who downed Lybarger’s twin sister, Jocelyn Lybarger, via split decision earlier this year.

Additionally, Tuff-N-Uff will crown a 145-pound tournament champion, as 10th Planet Riverside product Rick James (2-0) meets Xtreme Couture’s Josh Grevas (3-1). In April, both fighters earned impressive victories in the four-man tournament’s opening round, and the final match looks sure to please.

In addition to the night’s featured contests, a full lineup of aspiring amateur fighters from some of the world’s top academies – including Legend, 10th planet, Fight Capital, TapouT, Throwdown, Wand Fight Team, Werdum Fight Team and Xtreme Couture – will compete at Tuff-N-Uff’s May 25th event.

Tickets for “Tuff-N-Uff: FESTIBRAWL,” which start at just $25, are available at SouthPointArena.com. VIP tickets are available by calling (702) 797-8273. The evening’s pre-party, featuring free beer tasting and live music, starts at 4:00 p.m., and the first fight starts at 7:00pm.
